Dermaplane treatments are simple, easy, and usually do not take more than an hour. Our aesthetician will start by cleansing the skin and removing any makeup. Then they will begin working with the scalpel and hold the areas of your skin tight to create brisk strokes on the surface of the face as the patient reclines. The sensation you will feel will be gentle and relaxing, and you may hear a dry whisper as the blade crosses the surface of your skin. When we have finished, we’ll apply a light moisturizer.
The dermaplaning treatment does not require any downtime, even when coupled with our facials. While some irritation and redness may occur after your session, these side effects are temporary. The lasting effects of this procedure can be noticed for months and the removed peach fuzz will not grow back thicker or darker afterwards.
